Motion Controlled Pornography: GameLink's Interactive Videos Could Be The Future Of Self Love

Porn is about to get a lot more hands-on.

The technology for interactive, motion-controlled adult videos is staring us in the face. We need only reach out and touch it.

GameLink, a porn site and on-demand adult video company, is holding a contest to see who can best integrate its video catalog with a motion control device similar to the Kinect technology on an Xbox 360.

Leap Motion will be able to "sense the user's hand and finger movements for direct 3D interaction with the screen," according to GameLink's press release.

But how is this technology going to lead the porn industry to its climax?

"Nobody wants to use their keyboard or mouse anymore -- why not just a flick of the hand," Jeff Dillon, a vice president at GameLink, told HuffPost Weird News.

"Porn is eventually going the way of Minority Report ... or a hologram thing like Tupac at Coachella."

Until then, Dillon needs proposals. So far he's had some good ideas, like a Fleshlight -- a sex toy -- that syncs up with the video playing in front of you. He said that motion-control technology has come a long way, and that complete sex simulations are only a wham-bam-thank-ya-ma'am away.

The winner of the contest, which begins on Jan. 15, will get a development contract with GameLink.

Man Spends $235,000 On Solid Gold Shirt To Score Chicks

Datta Phuge may be a nice guy, but the millionaire from Pune, India, probably wouldn't give you the shirt off his back.

There's a good reason: That shirt cost him $235,000 and is made of solid gold.

Phuge, a 32-year-old moneylender, recently hired a team of 15 goldsmiths to make the shiny shirt and they needed to work two weeks worth of 16-hour day shifts to get the gold threads just right.

The end result is a 22-karat gold shirt weighing more than 7 pounds and consisting of 14,000 gold flowerings, interwoven with one-lakh spangles, Oddity Central reported. The shirt was assembled on a fabric base of imported white velvet, and comes with six Swarovski crystal buttons and a gold belt.

To make it extra fancy -- as if that's possible -- the gold guys also crafted matching cuffs and a set of rings from the leftover gold, according to the Mirror.

It might seem like conspicuous consumption times 10, but Phuge considers the shirt an investment that will keep appreciating.

“People buy cars and go on holidays abroad,” he said, according to the Los Angeles Times. “For me, gold is the ultimate passion. That is the reason I have spent a whopping amount of money on the shirt.”

Truth be told, there's another reason: The chicks.


"I know I am not the best looking man in the world, but surely no woman could fail to be dazzled by this shirt?" he said according to MSN.co.nz.

Amazingly, some people aren't taking a shine to the garment.

The Pune Mirror asked Indian fashionistas their opinions of Phuge's shirt and the comments included gripes like "too dramatic and impractical to wear," "it has no structure or shape," and "I see it more as a novelty item."

A man in California is re-thinking his decision to put up a doll made in the likeness of President Obama, with a noose around its neck.

Eddie Million of Moreno Valley now realizes that it was a bad idea to hang a Obama doll from a tree in his yard, but only after he received complaints and was visited by the Secret Service.

Million asserts that the whole thing isn’t a racist threat, but “just a misunderstanding.”

After neighbors complained, and a reporter wrote a story about it, authorities got involved. “I started thinking how bad it looked and took it down immediately,” he added. “If I had to do it all over again, I absolutely wouldn’t have done it. It was not meant to offend anybody. It was just supposed to be a decoration.

For now Million’s name has been added to a file, and agency has made note of the occurrence.
