NBA Wife And Her Friends Arrested After A Club Brawl

The wife and fiancée of two Bobcats players were among six people arrested after fights broke out at a Charlotte nightclub early Thursday morning.

According to the Charlotte Observer, Jamie Thomas, wife of Bobcats forward Tyrus Thomas, is facing multiple charges, including driving while impaired and two counts of assault with a deadly weapon after she allegedly hit a security guard with her car twice in the parking lot of Club Label. Authorities said they had to use force to extricate Thomas after she refused to exit the vehicle, resulting in some of the injuries evident in her mugshot.

Also arrested was Sascha Smith, fiancée of Bobcats guard Ben Gordon. She was charged with resisting arrest, while a woman named Morgan Williams was charged with common law robbery for stealing a purse -- the catalyst for the night's violence, the Observer notes.

In the video above, Williams is seen attempting to kick a WSOC-TV cameraman filming her being taken into custody. The other three women are also seen being escorted to police cars while handcuffed.

WSOC-TV also reports that police have stated the four women arrested have connections to the Bobcats as well as as the Clippers, though the exact Los Angeles connection has yet to be identified.

The party was hosted by Clippers point guard Chris Paul along with Kaya Jones of The Pussycat Dolls, according to a listing in Charlotte Magazine.
