Taz Miller, an 18-year-old Winchester man, was jailed after he allegedly stabbed his mother's boyfriend because he ate the family's leftover Thanksgiving turkey. According to Winchester Police, Miller became infuriated when he learned 35-year-old Christopher Teer had eaten leftover Thanksgiving turkey that he brought home from his grandmother's house.
In retaliation, Miller grabbed a large knife out of the kitchen drawer and told Teer that he was "going to kill" him.
Although Teer reportedly tried to apologize for the oversight, Miller proceeded to stab him in the arm and leg. Miller than attempted to strangle Teer, according to the arrest affidavit.
Investigators say Teer was able to get away and call police. He was transported to St. Vincent's Randolph Hospital where he was treated for non his injuries.
When officers questioned Miller, he stated that he did not believe the knife caused any of the injuries, despite the blood-stained clothes that he was wearing.
Detectives recovered an eight-inch serrated knife that was found on Miller's bed. The knife's blade was bent in a 45 degree angle as a result of the stabbing and was covered with the victim's blood.
Miller was booked into jail and charged with battery with a deadly weapon and strangulation. He is currently being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond.
