Philadelphia Couple Face Charges After Beating & Setting A Woman They Met On A Chat Line On Fire

Prosecutors: Adults, Teen Beat & Burn Woman A North Philadelphia couple and two other people have been charged with beating and setting on fire a 20-year-old woman lured from Pittsburgh through a chat line, the District Attorney's Office said Wednesday.

A second victim was discovered being held against her will when police raided the couple's apartment in the 1200 block of North 23d Street last month.

Prosecutors identified the accused as Tamara Rhoades, 24; her husband, Michael, 34; Steven Mills, 22; and a 14-year-old identified only as a relative of the couple.

Bail was set at $750,000 for the three adults, who all remain in custody, according to court records.
