Michael Smith, a 23-year-old Huber man was jailed Tuesday
after he allegedly slammed his truck into a local Taco Bell restaurant
when they shorted him a $.99 taco.
According
to the Huber Heights Police Department, around 12:15 a.m., Smith
reportedly became angry when he discovered that his Taco Bell order was
short by one taco.
In retaliation, Smith drove his truck through a large window near the restaurant's entrance. He then back his truck out and fled the scene.
Detectives reportedly followed a trail of fluids that were leaking from his damaged truck. Police were able to track the fluid trail to Smith's residence where the truck was parked.
Both Smith and his truck matched the description that was given to officers by store employees. He was immediately placed into custody.
