Alexander Kinyua, a 21-year-old Maryland man has been jailed after he
allegedly confessed to murdering a man - then eating his heart and
portions of his brain.
According to the Hartford County Sheriff's Office, deputies were
dispatched to a residence shared by Kinyua and his brother after the
brother opened two tins in the home's basement and discovered a human
head and two human hands.
Investigators served a search warrant
on the home, recovering human remains which were later identified as
Kujoe Agyei-Kodie. The victim reportedly lived with the two men for
several months until he was reported missing on Friday.
Detectives interviewed Kinyua, who allegedly confessed to murdering the victim.
Kinyua,
an electrical engineering student at Morgan State University, told
police that he cut up the victim with a knife, ate the man's heart and
portions of his brain. More body parts were discovered in a dumpster a
few blocks away from the residence.
Kinyua was booked into jail and charged with first-degree murder. He remains held without bail.
