Charles Baker, a 26-year-old Florida man was jailed Wednesday after he
allegedly stripped naked and nearly chomped off a man's bicep while
under the influence of an "unknown" drug.
According to the
Manatee County Sheriff's Office, Baker went to his girlfriend's house
Wednesday night to see his children when when things quickly spiraled
out of control.
Once inside the home, Baker allegedly stripped naked, then began cursing and throwing furniture around the home.
Jeffery
Blake, who owns the house and is grandfather to children involved,
attempted to restrain Baker until 911 could be called. That's when
Baker allegedly bit into Blake's bicep as the two men fell to the floor.
"I
don't know what was in his body, but it was powerful," stated Blake to
local news media. "He's always up and down, but I've never seen him like
this."
When deputies arrived, Baker refused to comply with their
demands. Instead, Baker stood up, clenched his fists and began
screaming like he was going to rush the deputies.
Deputies deployed a Taser device twice in an effort to subdue Baker, however he pulled the Taser probes out. When a second deputy deployed his Taser, Baker pulled those probes out as well.
Additional backup arrived and several deputies were required to finally restrain Baker.
Baker
was booked into the Manatee County Jail and charged with felony
aggravated battery and resisting arrest. His bond has been set at
$3,500.
The victim, whose bicep was left bruised and bleeding
with a set of teeth marks on them, required a tetanus shot for his
injuries.
